The United States is under attack by narco terrorists invading from the failed state of Mexico and Obama and the federal government are doing nothing about it.

In June, the Mexican drug mafia forced the closure of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge in Arizona. Authorities in Arizona admit that criminals now control a drug and human smuggling corridor that stretches from the border into metro Phoenix. Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu explained in June that the Mexican Mafia controls three counties in his state.

Alex talks with Glenn Spencer, an activist who advocates greater vigilance in securing the United States--Mexico border against illegal immigration. Spencer is the founder of the American Border Patrol group based in Sierra Vista, Arizona. American Border Patrol is a private, non-governmental, organization with the stated purpose of informing Americans about the border. It is known for using small, radio-controlled aircraft and ground sensing equipment to track illegal immigrants, and then relaying that information to the US Border Patrol. Spencer also has assisted with the Minuteman Project and also has produced two documentary videos: Immigration: Threatening the Bonds of Our Union and Conquest of Aztlan.

A video posted on YouTube reveals the extent of the narco violence on the U.S.-Mexico border. “We heard machine guns, 9mm pistols, grenades, everything,” a note posted with the video explains. The gunfire occurred in Reynosa, Mexico, across the border from McAllen, Texas, on July 11.

One former drug cop’s crusade of civil disobedience against America’s drug war establishment has turned into a nightmare for his family, which now faces the very real threat of losing a father and husband for up to six months or more.

Barry Cooper stood handcuffed in front of the state’s capitol building on Friday morning, after he’d turned himself in on a warrant for allegedly making a False Report to a Peace Officer. Once one of the Permian Basin Narcotics Task Force’s most successful agents, Cooper has refashioned himself an anti-prohibition activist and filmmaker; or, America’s “drug war insurgent,” as area media declared.

Just before sunset on April 10, 2006, a DC-9 jet landed at the international airport in the port city of Ciudad del Carmen, 500 miles east of Mexico City. As soldiers on the ground approached the plane, the crew tried to shoo them away, saying there was a dangerous oil leak. So the troops grew suspicious and searched the jet. They found 128 black suitcases, packed with 5.7 tons of cocaine, valued at $100 million. The stash was supposed to have been delivered from Caracas to drug traffickers in Toluca, near Mexico City, Mexican prosecutors later found. Law enforcement officials also discovered something else. The smugglers had bought the DC-9 with laundered funds they transferred through two of the biggest banks in the US: Wachovia Corp. and Bank of America Corp., Bloomberg Markets magazine reports in its August 2010 issue.

One of the most revealing things we learned this week about the war in Afghanistan came in a Los Angeles Times report headlined "Taliban Drug Proceeds Lower Than Thought."

We've been told again and again for years on end that the Taliban were running their operations off the opium trade, clearing as much as $400 million per year. Now, a Senate Foreign Relations Committee investigation says the proceeds are closer to $70 million.

But that's not the real news. The real news is what's missing: If our enemies aren't taking as much money as we thought to provide protection to the source of raw material for 90% of the world's heroin, then who is providing that protection?

MEXICO CITY, Sep. 6 (Rebel News) -- A private jet that crash-landed almost one year ago in eastern Mexico carrying 3.3 tons of cocaine had previously been used for CIA "rendition" flights, a newspaper report said here Thursday, citing documents from the United States and the European Parliament.

The CIA is the largest franchisee of the international narcotics trade and controls most of the industry in North and South America. 90% of the world's illegal drug trade is licensed to government agencies close to the ruling elites of their countries. It is the world's biggest and most profitable industry due to government enforced, tax-payer funded monopoly protection.

The United Nations has announced that opium poppy cultivation in Afghanistan has soared and is expected to increase by 59% in 2006. The production of opium is estimated to have increased by 49% in relation to 2005.

The Western media in chorus blame the Taliban and the warlords. The Bush administration is said to be committed to curbing the Afghan drug trade: "The US is the main backer of a huge drive to rid Afghanistan of opium... "

Yet in a bitter irony, US military presence has served to restore rather than eradicate the drug trade.
